Giving Back

We love the watery world and the creatures that live there, but we know that many places are in peril. Cheeky has always supported and given generously to causes, but we have decided to up our giving commitment by donating 3% of every sale to non-profits that make a difference in our watery world — we call it Tip the Waters. When you make a commitment to Cheeky product, the least we can do is leave the tip.  We recently joined 1% For the Planet, and we’re applying the same certified framework for all 3% of our giving commitment. So go ahead big tippers, when you choose Cheeky, we will leave the tip for the waters.

1 Pound of Food for every order placed from 11/25 to 12/25

We're excited to continue our partnership with Berkshire Food Project here at office headquarters in North Adams, MA for the third year in a row! Every time you give the gift of Cheeky, you're also giving the gift of a nutritious meal to our community in need. We'll be giving one pound of food for every order made from Thanksgiving through Christmas, and it's all with your help. Happy Holidays!
The shift in the northern Berkshires from an industrial to a service economy has rendered hundreds of local residents unemployed, underemployed, or at best, leashed to minimum-wage jobs with neither benefits nor security.  In this devastating situation, the inability of a growing segment of our fellow citizens to provide their families with nutritious meals, and the actual incidence of hunger, have become alarming.
The Berkshire Food Project seeks to alleviate hunger, food insecurity, and social isolation by serving healthy, no cost meals and connecting people to other resources, all in a dignified and respectful manner.

Cheeky Fishing is the proud title sponsor of Stripers Forever's Release a Breeder Program. The program is designed to promote the release of large “breeding size” stripers, which are mostly female fish producing eggs. By releasing a breeder, you can do your part to ensure the livelihood of the striped bass population for many years to come. Learn more about the club here.

2020 & 2021

Pound per Order

Giving back, especially in a year as difficult as 2020, is crucial to our brand mission. We decided to go big by matching every order with a pound of food to local food banks. For every order we received from Thanksgiving to Christmas, we donated one pound of food to Berkshire Food Project in our home base of North Adams, Massachusetts and the Missoula Food Bank and Community Center in our Western hub in Montana.

In total, Team Cheeky donated 1,000 pounds of food during the 2020 Holiday season.
