BIO: Originally from Richmond, VA, the Trow brothers caught the bug at the age of 10, when their roots in fly fishing took hold under the watchful eyes of the Fly Fisher’s of Virginia Club. Since then, their lives have revolved around fly fishing. By 12 they were tying flies professionally, at 18 they were guiding Virginia’s streams and at age 23 they opened Mossy Creek Fly Fishing, the premier fly shop in the Shenandoah Valley. Today the brothers guide almost every day of the year targeting brook, rainbow, and brown trout in Virginia’s spring creeks and mountain streams as well as smallmouth bass, carp, and musky on the Shenandoah and James Rivers. And, although they are based in the Shenandoah Valley, Colby and Brian have always had salt in their blood. When not on the water in Virginia, they are hosting trips to the Bahamas or Belize chasing bones, snappers, sharks, and cudas with a fly, or out with their pal Captain Tommy Mattioli chasing stripers and big drum on the Chesapeake Bay.
