Have you ever wondered why two-handed rods have become insanely popular when targeting anadromous fish in the freshwater, but haven’t caught as much fire in the saltwater? If so, you’re just like us. Casting farther from the beach creates a huge advantage. That’s why we’re excited to announce a very special Boston-area event: Two-Handed Casting Clinic: Stripers on the Fly.
FREE to all participants, and co-hosted by Why Knot Fishing, Beulah Fly Rods, and Cheeky Fishing, this one of a kind event is your opportunity to learn more about two-handed casting in the salt. James Shaughnessy, Owner of Beulah Fly Rods and world-famous for his two-handed fly rods, will be on hand to show us how it’s done. If you can’t make the casting portion of the evening, join us at the bar afterwards for some beverages, “big fish” stories, and your chance to win the ultimate two-handed fly rod and reel setup.
What: Two-handed fly rod casting demo in saltwater, followed by good times at the bar
Where: Pavilion Beach in Ipswich from 5-7pm. Ipswich Ale Brewer’s Table from 7-9pm
