Isaac grew up in New York, fishing Long Island beaches and working on local head boats throughout high school and college. At Bowdoin College in Maine, Isaac explored local water with a fly rod, and quickly picked up fly fishing and tying techniques from friends. After graduating with a double major in Government and Legal Studies and environmental Studies with a focus in fisheries policy, he decided to pursue a job within the recreational fishing sector. Now at Cheeky, Isaac is positioned as the Marketing and Service Associate, and acts as a liaison between customers and the company. He also works on marketing content as well as day-to-day business related tasks to help things run smoothly.
Most desired meal after a long day on the water?
Striped bass (saltwater) and pike (freshwater)
Go to fly?
A heavy olive over white clouser for stripers, and a big 8” E.P. minnow for pike.
Favorite Cheeky Reel?
The Limitless 425. It is super versatile and has a sealed drag, so I can throw it on my 10 wt rod and fish the surf one morning, and then later that day scale back to an 8 wt floating line in freshwater.
Bucket list Fish?
A big tuna on the fly. I’m not picky when it comes to a specific species.
Favorite Friday beer at the office?
Waves from Goodfire Brewing Co.
I love playing music. My go-to instruments are the bass, keyboard, and drums as a close third. I also ran mid-distance track for ten years, and now enjoy running aimlessly, rather than in circles.
One place that you would like to travel to?
Alaska, and also go on an island-hopping trip in the South Pacific.
