Trevally are some of the meanest gamefish swimming. Hooking - let alone landing one on the fly - is often the prize of a lifetime for anglers. This video from Solid Adventures documents a trip to Lakshadweep, a remote group of islands off the coast of India where a group of anglers enjoyed the time of their lives chasing these speedsters from the flats and boat.

Lakshadweep is so remote it can often take days just to travel there, yet each year, more and more angler are making the trek. Based on this video, it's not hard to see why. The waters are crystal clear and the fishing looks out-of-this-world cool. I'm still amazed at just how fast and strong these fish are, they turn 11-12wt saltwater rods into fiberglass-esque trout rigs in a matter of seconds.

Lakshadweep is a remote group of islands in the Arabian Sea, and home to some of the best trevally fishing in the world.

For anglers planning to make the long trip, there's no better fly reel to pack than the Cheeky Limitless 475. This massive reel is 4.75" in diameter and boasts a fully sealed GDS Drag System - built to tame the meanest saltwater fish swimming.
