Bio: Joe Gugino and Matt Zimmerman of Why Knot Fishing are fishing addicts. Introduced to the sport at an early age, their passion quickly developed into an all out pursuit. After becoming friends in college, Joe and Matt spent their time in-between classes chasing Atlantic striped bass, and spent many of their summers working on light tackle charter boats in New England. Now both Massachusetts residents, Joe and Matt regularly target striped bass, bluefish and tuna from boats, shore, kayaks and SUPs. Avid fly and spin anglers, Joe and Matt are leaders in bringing enthusiasm and passion to the New England saltwater fishing community. Their goals are to some day catch a 50-pound Striped Bass and a 40-inch Striped Bass on the fly!
